Glastonbury Premier Inn
Hotels
New build 60-bedroom hotel with adjoining restaurant providing 270 covers. The design was developed with close liaison with the Mendip District Council Planning and Urban Design Group. The site is located within the surrounding area of the old tannery – an impressive local brick and store structure with an remarkable 45m-approx high brick chimney. The hotel clock design embraces these materials and the character of Glastonbury’s industrial past. The restaurant is a two-storey cottage style building, which makes reference to Glastonbury’s local domestic scale buildings and materials. Situated on the main road from the street the building is an impressive structure, which greets people arriving from thus direction.
